It’s more than a motto – “It’s Time to Do Good” is a way of life for those seeking to follow Jesus Christ and prepare for His return. That means hearing God’s word, receiving His sacraments, and growing in our relationship with Him and with one another. As our faith grows, it shows – through love that leads to action.
Across Canada, we’ve seen encouraging signs of this in recent months. Congregations are growing, people are finding ways to forgive one another, and stronger bonds are being formed across generations and cultures. Conferences and spiritual retreats have provided space for reflection and renewal. Baptized believers are receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit through the sacrament of Holy Sealing – a sacred act available to all who desire it. One mother, reflecting on her daughter’s baptism and sealing during a youth weekend, shared, “Thank you for giving her this special moment.” These stories remind us that faith is lived in community, and every soul is precious to God.
Just as inspiring are the quiet, often unseen acts of goodness taking place every day. Volunteers are supporting children and single mothers. Others are contributing to schools, food programs, and spiritual care efforts both locally and around the world. These efforts aren’t just charitable – they’re part of a larger hope that Christ’s love can transform hearts, and that this world can be touched by grace, one good act at a time. At the heart of it all is a simple desire: that others may also experience the joy, peace, and salvation we’ve found in Jesus Christ.
Yes, challenges remain. Unity takes work. Growth takes patience. And faithfulness requires courage. But in this time we’ve been given, we can choose to respond with compassion, with faith, and with purpose.
Let’s use this time well.
Let’s do good.
