HE CARES FOR YOU
Posted by: Apostle Frank Dzur

Most of you are no stranger to the many challenges that life can bring. The highs and the lows of everyday life you have experienced. Today we face another concern which is the COVID-19 pandemic. We have been forced to adjust our lives in different ways which have caused anxieties and perhaps difficulties not experienced before. Although our senior brothers and sisters are considered part of the vulnerable sector of society, I am convinced they are among the “faithful” of the Church. That being the case, I would like to share with you a recent text.

“Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:7

The Lord wants to deliver us from our cares, our concerns that trouble and worry us. We humble ourselves before God and trust Him. God knows our needs and we recognize His grace. We trust His power and His love for us. He is our almighty triune God.

God cares for our material needs, our salvation, for our neighbour and the Church. He invites us to unburden ourselves on Him, which requires us to make an effort to renew our decision to remain faithful to Him over and over again.

God remains faithful to us and will bring His work to perfection. No circumstance will prevent Him from fulfilling His salvation plan. We remain resolved that no care will interfere with our relationship with God.

Christ wants to deliver us from our cares. If we humble ourselves before Him and trust Him we can be sure that He will take care of us, those we love, and the Church. I am reminded of the “golden oldie” song I grew up singing: “God will take care of you.”

Be not dismayed whate’er betide, God will take care of you.
Under His wings of love abide, God will take care of you.
God will take care of you, through every day, all of the way.
He will take care of you, God will take care of you.
