Loving gratitude

As little children we are taught to say thank-you. Two simple words out of a child’s heart said in an innocent way. As we mature through life we gain a greater understanding when we realize what is behind the gift or deed done upon us. It almost seems shallow to use the same words when a door is opened for us, as when we express our gratitude to our heavenly Father for giving us the gift of His Son. So, let us look inwardly and examine our sincerity.

Thanksgiving

As we approach our Church Thanksgiving Day, on Sunday, October 2, 2022 and, our National Thanksgiving on the following weekend, we have an opportunity to reflect on what we are thankful for: our faith, family, friends and the manifold blessing in our lives.

Often our thankfulness encompasses the past and the present which already provides ample reason to thank God!

Back to school

Joshua 1: 5–6 — “No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life; as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you. Be strong and of good courage…”

The last three school years have been anything but consistent. Schools closed, schools open, virtual studies, just to name a few. I hope that this coming year of 2022–2023 will be back to normal and that students, parents, teachers, and staff working in the school system are filled with excitement!
