New Apostolic Christians offer. Offerings and sacrifices are not an obligation, but an opportunity to bring joy to God and engage gifts and talents for the benefit of His work. The willingness to offer comes from the love for Christ. He made the ultimate sacrifice which we can never repay. Offerings are an expression of thankfulness and love. Monetary offerings are given freely and used to support the activities of the church. Monetary offerings are placed in the offering boxes found inside at the back of the sanctuary or online. Both allow the individual the opportunity to give in a manner and at a time which is prompted by the attitude of the heart. It is not the amount that matters, but the approach and condition of the heart towards bringing the offering. Jesus observed "the rich putting their gifts into the treasury, and He also saw a certain poor widow putting in two mites." So He said, 'Truly I say to you that this poor widow has put in more than all; for all these out of their abundance have put in offerings for God, but she out of her poverty put in all the livelihood that she had' (Luke 21: 1-4).One also offers when giving up time and using gifts selflessly without the expectation of anything in return. It is with the understanding that the benefit will go to others who are in need. One of the greatest sacrifices one can make is one's own will under the will of God. That which is done or given out of love for God is an offering.
