Saskatchewan - Day of the Youth

The youth from Saskatchewan, Alberta, and Cranbrook, B.C., travelled to Redberry Camp located at Redberry Lake, Saskatchewan, for this year's Day of the Youth, from May 31-June 2, 2019.

On Friday night, everyone settled into their accommodations and shared dinner. There were icebreaker games, and many outdoor activities and sports to play. There was also a bonfire in the evening, where everyone enjoyed delicious S'mores and hot dogs.

On Saturday, there was a spiritual discussion in the morning, followed by an afternoon of hiking, canoeing, swimming, and board games. There were also team activities, where the youth competed in a variety of events, such as archery, wall climbing, laser tag, a Bible trivia obstacle course, and a "throne building" competition, where the youth had to create functional thrones out of balloons, plastic wrap, and tape.

Sunday morning was the highlight of the weekend, where the youth connected to the international youth service conducted by Chief Apostle Schneider in Dusseldorf, Germany. Afterwards, everyone shared lunch before journeying home.
