Margaret Ave - Confirmation Divine Service
On Sunday, May 7th, Apostle Sobottka conducted a Confirmation divine service in the Margaret Ave Church, where nineteen young people were confirmed. The Apostle began the service with a Bible word from 1 Chronicles 28:20: Be strong and of good courage, and do it; do not fear nor be dismayed, for the Lord God – my God – will be with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you, until you have finished all the work for the service of the house of the Lord.
The Apostle spoke directly to the confirmands, saying that the Lord has chosen you to build the temple – it was not by chance that you are here today. Our task today is to renounce sin; this is our battle each and every day. The question is, are we dedicated in our service to the Lord? Faith without works is not faith; it is important to serve and dedicate our gifts and talents to our Heavenly Father. "Just do it!"
