Sault Ste. Marie - Youth Weekend
On the weekend of March 7th, the youth from Sault Ste. Marie and Sudbury decided to beat the perpetual winter blues by heading to Mackinaw City (Michigan), for some time in the pools, hot tubs and waterpark. Thirty-five of the youth and youth leaders spent two-days soaking up the warmth of an indoor waterpark while also enjoying some time exploring the local cuisine.
Included in the weekend itinerary was a discussion concerning the youth's “We Learn” program. As the youth prepare for opportunities to use their gifts in the coming year, each was asked to think about their strengths and the unique characteristics that make them who they are.
The weekend concluded with a service on Sunday morning, held with the backdrop of Northern Michigan’s winter beauty. Some of the Pillars from Sault Ste. Marie also made the trip for service as Pr. Matthew Wiesel – who was ordained less than a month ago - had the opportunity to hold his first service!
