September 19, 2010 - Newmarket Cambodian Youth Visit the Toronto Zoo
On Monday, July 19th a group of youth from Newmarket Cambodian enjoyed an outing to the Metro Toronto Zoo. They were very happy that their district youth leader, District Evangelist Mueller, also came and shared the day with them. Over 700 youth from across Canada participated in the annual Day of the Youth that took place at the University of Waterloo (Ontario) over the weekend of July 16 to 18, 2010. Over 130 volunteers were involved with the logistics of this great event. The weekend’s activities began already on Friday evening with an exciting performance by a leading Canadian Christian entertainer. | July 10, 2010 - Youth Event in Medicine Hat
On Saturday, July 10th the youth from Medicine Hat gathered at their Rector’s home for an interesting youth event: “Licence to Grill – learning to BBQ”. Priest Donaldson gave them a lesson on BBQing “inside-out” burgers. This is when the bacon, cheese and bbq sauce are in the middle of a burger. The youth prepared everything from scratch. | June 18, 2010 - SSM Youth Participate in Canadian Cancer Society’s Relay for Life
On June 18th the Canadian Cancer Society held a “Relay for Life” in Sault Ste. Marie, ON – an all night 12-hour walk-a-thon from 7:00 p.m. Friday to 7:00 a.m. Saturday. The youth and cancer survivor members from our congregation participated in this amazing event and raised over $1200 for the Cancer Society Research and Survivor Support Service. | June 04, 2010 - Toronto District Pillar Youth Event
On Friday, June 4th the Pillar Youth from the Toronto district got together for an evening of great fun and fellowship at a Blue Jays baseball game followed by dinner in downtown Toronto. With great anticipation and excitement, the youth met up at the Rogers Center for a game between the Blue Jays and the New York Yankees. A section was reserved in the upper deck where they could sit together and enjoy the game. |
